Meet Chase Evans
Chase grew up in Central Arkansas where he fell in love with duck hunting at the age of six. As a teenager, he saw the importance of a duck dog… though, his parents didn’t necessarily agree with that. After graduating High School, they allowed the first of the dogs, a Boykin named Fillie. While Fillie wasn’t trained, she still got the work done. Two years later another Boykin, Nellie, came about. Nellie was the first true training dog for Chase. She was trained to the Finished Level and thus the love for the game began.
In 2018 Chase went to work for a local pro trainer before relocating to Texas in 2020 to work for a Hall-of-Fame dog trainer. At the end of 2020, Chase moved back home to Central Arkansas and that’s when GCK officially began. Since then, GCK has trained numerous Hunting Retriever Champs, ran thousands of miles in testing, and turned some great dogs into bad to the bone duck retrievers.
When not being the dog guy, you can find Chase duck hunting, planning a duck hunt, talking about hunting, or dragging his wife, Sarah, to Fort Thompson—- to buy hunting gear. He also takes great pride in teaching their two young kids, Luke (5) and Cooper (2) about the value and passion for the outdoors.
Meet Sarah Lowry-Evans
Apparently part of marrying the dog guy, is becoming the dog lady. With a degree in communications and a love for animals, she’s the perfect fit to team GCK. Sarah may be more behind the scenes, but she can be thanked for all your cute pup pictures, fun marketing ideas, the puppy program, and keeping the dog guy in line (which, lets be honest, that’s a job in and of itself…)
When not at the kennel, telling all the dogs they are the best good boys/girls, you can probably find her reading a book, dragging the dog guy and their two kids (Luke & Cooper) to all the things, hanging at the Lake, or shopping Facebook marketplace…. likely for a dog they don’t need.
Home of GCK:
Here at GCK we take pride in having one of the best facilities in the state of Arkansas. We tend to live by the saying “you pay for your dog’s care, the training is free”.
Inside our facility you will find large kennels (4 ft x 5ft x 4ft) that are heated & insulated with spray foam. Our kennels run roughly 25-30 degrees cooler in the summer months which insures your dog stays accumulated to the heat but never overheated .
